Presentation topic:

Preform E-Beam, the Future of Beverage Packaging Sterilization: Water & Chemical-Free

Abstract

Abstract

As the demands on food quality and safety continue to increase, we would like to look at Krones' development in the field of aseptic production solutions.

With a roadmap, we can observe the innovative trends from wet to dry sterilization of bottles and the even more popular chemical preform sterilization.

What are the requirements and challenges? How can we continue to improve?

This is where E-Beam technology plays an important role, especially in terms of resources and environmental protection.

With one of the most stable processes and a high "log reduction rate" despite low energy consumption, E-Perform sterilization will soon prove to be an indispensable solution.

After a brief introduction to the principle of E-Beam, we can introduce the Krones module that is placed between the preform heating oven and the blowing wheel.

Finally, we can list what the real advantages of this unique solution are.

After six years in the heat set application, he became responsible for overall application technology in the plastics division.

In 2011 he was department manager of the order processing department and in charge of the bottle design activities. Since 2012 he is leading the Krones plastics technology division.

Cora Hanesch studied Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering at FAU - University of Erlangen and Dongseo University in South Korea.

Since 2013, she has been part of the Krones team.

From 2013 to 2017, Cora worked in process engineering within the filling department. From 2017 to 2022, she moved to project management in the development department. Since 2022, Cora has focused on product development in the Plastics Technology CRD.
